Create Because We Care Exhibition – Big Screen Plaza  – New York, NY, 2020

Two artworks combining poetry and painting by Raúl Sanchez & Rod Sánchez (Sanchez 2winz) were selected from over 100 submissions from around the world. The “Create Because We Care Exhibition” is an international public art exhibition to broadcast all-day positive messages of hope and gratitude for our Healthcare workers and extend thoughts of healing/strength on the large-scale 30-foot digital billboard at Big Screen Plaza in the heart of New York City. Viewing of the Exhibition is ongoing from June 2020

The animated short film “Winged Painter” has been featured in the Varsity Arts Exhibition! The Varsity Arts Exhibition showcases the artistic pursuits of The Ohio State University’s varsity athletes, past and present (August 16th – October 14th, 2018). The film invites the viewer to take a journey within a painting unfolding in real time. Winged Painter was part of a media campaign that successfully raised over $1,000 for RAINN charity. SaveArtSpace and X Gallery “Cultural Diversity Exhibition” – New York, NY, 2018

The painting One Vision was selected to be exhibited at the “Cultural Diversity Exhibition” from July 2nd – August 2nd, 2018 at X Gallery.  As an extension to the exhibition, a large-scale print of One Vision will be displayed in Manhattan as a public art installation in the form of a prominent bus stop shelter advertisement on West 116th Street & 5th Avenue for the duration of the exhibition (July 2nd – August 31st, 2018).

Rod's paintings exhibited in group show: "Sweet Flute," "Miracle of a Mother's Love," & "Ascension of a Buried Prayer." Giclée prints of paintings "Miracle of a Mother's Love," & "Ascension of a Buried Prayer." were donated to the event charity auction to raise funds for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

Rod's painting exhibited in group show: "First Kiss Goodbye." “Echo the Elements” was a collaborative art show of music and installation art. Each musical piece is in collaboration with various multimedia artists including; interpretive dance, painting, interactive electronics, & live video projection.

Baruch College NYC Subway Dioramas on Display. New York, NY, 2010 – 2011

Rod's design and illustration for Baruch College's Continuing and Professional Studies Campaign (Fall 2010 - Summer 2011) are on display in NYC subways from the fall 2010 to the spring of 2011. Other publications where Rod's Art for this campaign have appeared are: Time Out NY, The Village Voice, Metro NY, Baruch's Bulletin Cover, AM New York, to name a few.

Rod's T-Shirt Design for the Random House Inc. Running Team won the 1st place design award among many other companies in New York City. T-Shirts were worn by the team on race day.

Audio / Visual Performances, 2004 – Present

Performance venues include: Tishman Auditorium, White Rabbit Lounge, Columbia University, Parsons Gallery, 3rd Ward Galley to name a few.  Sanchez 2winz – an audio/visual electro-acoustic artist duo consisting of Raul Sánchez & Rod Sánchez.  The multisensory performances consist of Rod Sánchez on electronic musical equipment mxing live visuals (VJing) and performing original electronic music.  Raul Sánchez on keyboard performing melodies on strings, synthesizer, & piano.
